The SR540 Optical Chopper is used for square wave modulation of light signal intensity. This device can chop a light source at frequencies from 4 Hz to 3.7 kHz. The versatile, low-jitter reference output provides synchronization signals required for various operating modes: single-beam or dual-beam; sum and difference frequencies; and synthesized chopping up to 20 kHz.
